Nick Loring joined the Loring Advisory Group in 2013. Nick partners with his parents, Jeff and Colleen, to advise a growing list of clients. Known for his all-in approach to financial advice, Nick’s clients call him with the full range of financial questions – from advice on investments to settling an estate or buying a new home. He is a full-service financial planner with a passion for giving back. A committed community leader, he volunteers time and expertise to local organizations including the Rotary Club of Smithfield and the Greenville Public Library. Nick began his career on active duty with the U.S. Army, serving more than five years as a field artillery officer and rising to the rank of captain. It was during a deployment in Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, that Nick first performed as an asset manager. Responsible for nearly $5 million in humanitarian aid, small business loans, and infrastructure improvements, Nick managed the equitable distribution of resources to the local population and received a Bronze Star in recognition of his meritorious service.

Nick grew up and lived in Smithfield for much of his life, graduating from Smithfield High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University with a concentration in Finance and an MBA from Mississippi State University. He is also a certificant of the Investment Management Theory & Practice program through the Yale University School of Management. When he’s not working or volunteering his time in the community, you’ll find Nick playing golf, reading or traveling with his wife, Jennifer, and daughters, Georgia and Stella.
