Gary joined Loring Advisory Group in 2024 as our Practice Manager. In this role, Gary is responsible for managing the operations of the firm. This includes leading and developing the operations staff to not only provide exemplary quality service to our clients and advisors, but to also assist them in achieving their desired career aspirations.
Before joining Loring Advisory Group, Gary worked in the Operations Division at Putnam Investments for more than 26 years, reaching the level of Vice President. He had the opportunity to manage several different areas during this time frame. Gary started in the Transfer Agency where he managed processing, adjustment, correspondence, reporting and agility teams. He then managed the Image Operations team responsible for receiving, prepping and scanning all transactional documents for 2 separate locations. Gary also played a key role in the creation and management of 2 new areas known as Call Center Operations and Vendor Relations. He spent the last 12 years of his Putnam career managing all aspects of their inbound call center known as the Client Solution Center.
Gary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Northeastern University where he was also a member of the baseball team.
Gary is originally from Natick, MA and currently resides in Bellingham, MA. Gary coached his son Cory in youth football for 8 years while also coaching both his sons Keith and Cory in youth baseball. Gary has continued to coach Little League baseball in Bellingham for the past 26 years while also assisting at the high school level for the past few seasons. When he’s not volunteering his time on the baseball diamond, he can be found enjoying a round of golf with his friends and fellow coaches, dining out, or traveling with his wife Gladyce. He is also an avid fan of the four major professional sports teams in Boston.
Gary is a big proponent of teamwork and feels that when everyone is working towards a common goal, as a group they can achieve so much more than working as several individuals. No matter what leadership position he’s held in his career, his primary focus has been trying to lead his team in providing “world class quality service” to all their clients.
